Very homemade style. They put quite much of topping, have green and red capsicum, ham, pineapple, mushroom & cheese. There's herbs in the pizza base, nice aroma. Only one type of pizza here, big is RM16.00.

好有家的味道。料很多,有洋葱,青灯笼椒,红灯笼椒,火腿肉,凤梨,磨菇,芝士。薄饼里有香料,别与其它。但这只有一种比萨,大的RM16.00。

肉丸 RM6.00

 Juicy fried meatball, nice taste, but sauce is too little, should ask her to give more. Garlic bread is too dry, nice with soup.

肉丸不错,可是酱少了些。蒜香面包有点干,配汤还可以。


Besides that, they serve mushroom soup, garlic bread, bolognese spaghetti and others western dishes. Reasonable price, foods are okay, worth to have a try.

除此之外,还有磨菇汤,蒜香面包,红酱意粉和其他西餐。价钱合理,味道不错,值得一试。

pan fried spaghetti | 鸡肉炒意粉

Today, someone invited us for dinner, but is cook ourself dinner at his house. Anyway, we pan fried spaghetti for dinner.
今日,有人请我们晚餐,可是叫我们在他家煮自己晚餐。无论如何,我们炒了一锅意粉


ingredients | 料

garlic 大蒜
onion  洋葱
carrot  红萝卜
red chili  红辣椒
cabbage  包菜
chicken breast meat  鸡胸肉
egg spaghetti 全蛋意粉
(all cut in strip)(全切丝)

1. cook garlic, onion, red chili in hot oiled pan. 爆大蒜,洋葱,红辣椒

2. add in chicken breast meat. 放鸡胸肉

3. when meat is cooked, put in remaining ingredients. 肉熟了,进入其它材料。

4. put in cooked spaghetti, fry about another 5 to 10 minutes. 炒5到10分钟。

5. lastly, add seasoning (salt/ light soya sauce/ chicken stock etc.) to taste. 最后,放进调味料。

P/S may add in water or broth if too dry while pan frying. 炒的时候,如有点干,加点水或高汤。

Wasabe Restaurant, Ipoh | 哇啥啤,怡保

Here we are,Wasabe restaurant at 1 Casuarina,buffet night. It is the first Japanese buffet restaurant at Ipoh.

哇啥啤餐厅, 1 Casuarina,自助餐之夜。这里是怡保第一间有日本自助餐的。


Drinks available on buffet are, peach tea, mango juice, hot nescafe, cold or hot green tea. They serve alcohol too but sure not included for the buffet.

自助餐包括的饮料有,密桃茶,芒果汁,热雀巢咖啡,热/冷绿茶。这有卖酒精饮料,另算。


Sashimi: sake (salmon), tako (octopus), ama ebi (shrimp), shiro marugo (white tuna). We have SOME rounds on the sashimi, especially sake. fresh than the 'King'.

刺身: 三文鱼,八爪鱼,虾,白金枪鱼。我们吃了不少刺身,三文鱼最多。比那 ‘瘦施王’ 新鲜多了。

Oyster. this is the second time i taste the raw oyster, lucky it's not smelly, size is normal, not big one.

生蚝。第二次吃生蚝,还好没腥味,体积没很大,也不算太小。


soft shell crab. it will taste better if can reduce the oiliness.  Tempura prawn and vegetable available too.

软壳蟹。如果油可以少点,会更好。虾天妇罗和杂菜天妇罗也有。


Yakitori chicken &beef. chicken lack of taste and beef not tender enough

 串烧鸡肉,牛肉。鸡肉淡了些,牛肉太有嚼劲。


Sushi. not bad, some choices to choose. Pickled ginger (gari) too, like it!  

寿司不错,有选择。还有酸姜,喜欢!


Edamame, Korokke,  and etc deep fried dish (disappointed for the food not kept warm)

毛豆,可乐饼和其它酥炸食物。(可惜没保温)


Smoked salmon, Ham, Chuka Kurage (seasoned jellyfish), Chuka Chinmi (seasoned scallop), Chuka Idako (seasoned baby octopus), Chuka Wakame (seasoned seaweed). Nice appetizers.

烟三文鱼火腿海蜇干贝片, 小八爪鱼海藻。不错的小食。


Agedashi tofu, fried tofu with warm tentsuyu broth, topping with daikon (white raddish). I find this nice, the tofu is smooth.

炸豆腐加上暖的日本天妇罗调味汁, 好吃,豆腐很滑。

Japanese milk pudding . Creamy tasted pudding, smooth texture and I found out that mint leave go well with the pudding (although its main function is for garnish). Besides pudding, they serve ice cream too, flavour: mint, strawberry, corn and etc.

牛奶布丁. 奶香味布丁,滑。薄荷叶的味道蛮配牛奶布丁(虽然薄荷叶只是装饰品)。那也有冰淇淋,口味有薄荷,草莓,蜀米。。。。。。


Chawanmushi (steam egg). Tasty & smooth, with Kamaboko (cured surimi) and gingko seed inside.

日式蒸蛋。好吃的滑滑的蒸蛋,虽然只有一小片菇菇但里面还有白果与蒲鉾(鱼板)。


Kiwi, Grape, both are sweet. My stomach just able to insert both, others like starfruit, watermelon, honey dew, can't take anymore.

奇异果和葡萄很甜。还由其它的:杨桃,西瓜,哈密瓜。可惜我的肚子满了。


Price is reasonable with unlimited shashimi and oyster. Haha! Not a bad place at Ipoh.
Other than that, many other choices like fried udon, fried noodle (yakisoba) , ramen, but quite dissapointed those food not kept warm. also have cold udon (zaru udon), fried rice, Japanese half boiled egg, Miso soup, Japanese Kimchi soup, salad etc. They do serve a la carte on first floor.

价格算合理,生蚝和刺身任吃。哈哈!怡保算不错了。
除外,还有好多。有炒荞麦面,炒乌冬面,冷拌乌冬, 拉面 (可是都冷了)。也有日式生熟蛋,味噌汤,日式泡菜汤,沙拉等,记不起全部的菜肴。如果不喜欢自助餐,可以到楼上享用你喜爱的日餐。

Chinese mushroom black fungus; mixed vege with bamboo fungus | 香菇黑木耳;清炒粒粒竹笙

Braised mushroom & black fungus | 菇菇焖木耳

ingredients | 料:


mushroom, black fungus, bean curd skins, garlic

香菇,木耳,腐竹,大蒜

1. saute garlic in hot oiled pan 把大蒜炒香


2. put in mushroom bean curd skins, covered and cook for 15 minutes.放进香菇,腐竹,焖15分钟


3. after that add in black fungus, cook for 5 minutes. 加入木耳, 煮5分钟


4. add in salt & light soya sauce, cook for another 5 minutes.加酱清,盐,再煮5分钟



Stir fried mixed vegetables & bamboo fungus | 清炒粒粒竹笙

ingredients | 料:


frozen mixed vegetables, bamboo fungus (washed)

冷藏杂菜,竹笙(用温水清洗)

1. boiled mixed vegetables for one minutes 烫杂菜,1分钟

2. then stir fry in hot oiled pan till cooked 炒熟

3. add in bamboo fungus 加入竹笙

4. sprinkle some salt 加点盐


Boiled bok choy | 水煮菜

ingredient | 料:

bok choy 小白菜

1. add some oil and salt in boiling water 沸水,加进少许盐和油

2. boil bok choy for 2 minutes 放进菜,煮2分钟

3. take out and add some light soya sauce if saltiness not enough 拿出,可加些酱清

我丑

今天不好,

中午被同事饿死,还要赖我小气,什么道理?

晚餐还要给老板娘说我不美,

没修眉,没上妆,又如何?样子就是那样。

那婴儿一定很丑,眉稀,没牙,没发,没眼影,没唇油。

清洁整齐最重要,

修眉,上妆却邋邋遢遢的,很美嚒?

为什么男生不用修眉,男生的眉珍贵,我的眉就不珍贵?

我也看不顺男生不美丽,他们为什么不去整容?

男生邋邋遢遢,胡子又不刮又不修,丑死了,为什么又可以?

我清洁又整齐,只是没修眉,却不被社会接受,屎。。。。。。


P/S 不是不认同修眉上妆,只是不爽那些理由。有时候,随性些,自然些,简单些,不美吗?自然美才是永恒的。

我丑,我知道,不然不会没午餐

Mushroom glass noodle | 香菇冬粉




ingredients | 料

4 dry Chinese black mushroom (soaked)-sliced | 4 香菇(切片) 
bean curd skins (soaked) | 腐竹 (浸)
half onion (diced) | 半颗洋葱
1 clove garlic (diced) | 1 瓣大蒜
2 dry chilli (chopped) | 2 条辣椒干
soya sauce | 酱清
light soya sauce | 黑酱油
bamboo fungus (washing by soak in warm water) | 竹笙 (用温水清洗)
one stalk garlic chives | 韭菜
glass noodle | 冬粉

  1. saute dry chili, onion and garlic. 把辣椒干,洋葱,大蒜炒香
  2. add in mushroom and bean curd skins 放进香菇,腐竹
  3. add in soya sauce and light soya sauce to taste, cover and cook for 10 - 15 minutes, then cooked noodle. 加入酱清,黑酱油,焖10到15分钟,再放粉。
  4. After that, put it bamboo fungus and garlic chives and fry for 2 minutes. 最后,放进竹笙和韭菜炒2分钟
  5. Pack and go. 打包走人

Tomato Black-eyed bean noodle | 番茄眉豆签

ingredients | 料

2 small tomato (cube) | 2 番茄
1 red chili | 1 条红辣椒
1 clove garlic | 1 大蒜
2 shallots | 2 颗紅蔥頭
3 dry mushroom (soaked) | 3 颗干香菇
2 tablespoon tomato paste | 2 汤匙番茄酱
few sugarsnap peas | 甜荷兰豆
black-eyed bean noodle | 眉豆签
italians mixed herbs | 意大利香料

Procedures | 步

1. Dice chili, garlic and shallots. cook in the hot oiled pan until shallots caramelized. 把辣椒,大蒜,紅蔥頭切成小块。放进热锅炒,至紅蔥頭呈金黄色。

2. put in tomato, mushroom, tomato paste and cook till tomato and mushroom soften. 加进香菇,番茄酱,番茄,煮熟。

3. Add in sugarsnap pea. 然后,放甜荷兰豆。

4. add in herbs, salt or seasoning as desired . 加盐或调味料,香料。

5. toss in cooked black-eyed bean noodle. 最后,放进面,可了!

P/S I think wheat flour portion used for the noodle making is small thus texture of the noodle is quite spongy. Moreover, black-eyed bean is gluten free. Better to add in vegetable stock if you have, to enhance the flavour.

眉豆签的口感有点软,可能没加很多面粉,加上眉豆本身没有筋。如能放素菜上汤,应该很好味。

David's Diner, Truely American Food. Never been to American, but i think American famous with fast food. Mcdonald's, KFC, Burger King, etc. From the menu, we can found varies of burger and sandwich, side dishes and dinner dish and set meal. Burger and sandwich can order as set (with side dishes) or ala carte, dinner dish come with side dishes, set meal come with appetizer, side dishes, one drink, dessert. You may choose your own side dishes.

大卫餐厅? 我给它取的中文名。想不到特别的。称是美式餐厅。没去过美国,只知道快餐是美国的标志。这里有什么东东?看看餐单,有汉堡包和三文治,套餐与否 ,小菜类, 晚餐(附自选小菜), 套餐 (附开胃菜,自选小菜,甜品与饮料)。

Popieh wrapper, inside is surimi, onion or shallot, scallion and something taste sour and white colour. Search on the web, it might be cream cheese. Crab rangoon is a chinese origin dish for western region, usually wrap with cream cheese, surimi or crab meat, garlic or scallion.

炸蟹角配千岛酱 RM5.80 (4 pc)
里面包的是蟹柳(碎)和小洋葱,还有酸酸的,白白的,不懂是什么。搜网络才懂原来炸蟹角给西方享用的变种中餐。里面是乳脂干酪,蟹肉或蟹柳,蒜或青葱。

Too much cheese added, can't taste the creamy white sauce. The chicken is sweet in taste which I dislike.

太多乳酪了,感觉不到有白酱。鸡肉甜甜的,不太喜欢。

Chicken soup | 鸡汤


Fried chicken (2 piece) with side dishes: chicken soup, garlic mashed potato, macoroni and cheese (but the outcome is conchiglie and cheese, =D). Anyway, the taste of conchiglie and cheese is satisfied although the pattern not match with the menu. I think they use much of garlic powder with parsley for the mashed potato which made it strong in garlic taste. Like it. Although chicken soup is use instant powder but after their own modification, make it different from others. Satisfied with fried chicken as it's not too dry, not too oily and not too salty, really suit me.

炸鸡(2块),小菜:鸡汤,香蒜土豆泥,乾酪通心粉(但是呈上的是乾酪贝壳意粉 =D)。乾酪贝壳意粉,味道是满意的,虽然货不对版。香蒜土豆泥很蒜香,还有芫茜。我想是用了不少的芫茜大蒜粉。好味。虽然鸡汤是用即溶汤料,但他们自加了些材料,味道都和别家的不一样。炸鸡, 满意,肉质没有很干,味道不咸不谈,没有很油腻。适合我。

side dishes: mixed vegetables, mashed potato with gravy, 2 pieces crab rangoon, one brownies (show below), one drink. The sauce is okay, it would be better if the meat can be tender abit.

羊扒,小菜:杂菜, 酱汁土豆泥,2 块炸蟹角,布朗尼蛋糕 (图下),饮料
羊扒的酱汁不错,没羊骚味。如羊肉能嫩点,会更好。


Dessert- Brownies with vanilla ice cream
The brownies does not like normal brownies, those moist and dense cake. More like biscuit, like granola bar with dried fruit.

这里的布朗尼蛋糕像干果格兰诺拉麦片饼。


 Overall acceptability is average. Been here for few times, some dishes from the menu is satisfied. Their fresh fruit juice is really fresh, burger and sandwich is satisfied, portion alright (some is quite big), environment alright but the service alright sometimes. Compare with others similar restaurant at Ipoh (compatible price and menu), David's Diner is a good option.

这里的食物算不错的, 比其它相同的餐厅在怡保(价钱和餐单类似)。鲜果汁是真的鲜的,汉堡包和三文治不错,份量足够(有些蛮大份的),环境不错,服务就时好时坏。
