Prawn & Ham salad | 虾火腿沙拉


ingredient
prawn, ham, Romaine lettuce, garlic, black pepper, olive oil, vinegar, salt, sugar

虾,火腿,蘿蔓萵苣,蒜头,黑胡椒,橄榄油,醋,盐,糖

1. pan fried prawn with olive oil. season with salt and black pepper
2. fried the ham until brown, cut in strip
3. prepare salad dressing by mixing 3 tablespoon of virgin olive oil, 1 tablespoon of vinegar, add salt and sugar to taste
4. add in coarsely chopped lettuce, prawn and ham into salad dressing, toss it. Then sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.

1.蒜米炒虾,加点盐和黑胡椒
2.火腿煎香,切条状
3.沙拉酱:3汤匙橄榄油,1汤匙醋,加盐和糖调味
4.加蘿蔓萵苣(切成大片),虾,火腿,拌一拌。然后撒上帕马森干酪。

chicken with red amaranth | 彩苋菜鸡


Ingredients
300g red amaranth, 6 chicken drumsticks (cut in big pieces), 1 carrot (cut in small pieces) , 2 stalks of celery (cut in small pieces), 1 big onion (chopped) , 2 clove garlic (chopped), olive oil, 240ml whipping cream, salt and pepper, 2 cups of chicken broth

300g 彩苋菜, 6 只鸡腿(块),1 条罗卜块),2 瓣西芹切小块,1颗大洋葱(碎),2瓣蒜头(碎),橄榄油,240ml 鲜奶油, 盐和胡椒,2杯鸡汤

1. pour olive oil in the hot pan, put in onion, garlic, celery and carrot. Add 1 cup of chicken broth and cook for 15 minutes, add salt and pepper to taste. 
2. After cook, remove from pan and set aside.
2. pan fried chicken with olive oil for about 5 minutes then add in step 1 ingredients and remaining chicken broth. 
3. Cook for another 10 minutes then add in red amaranth. Cover and cook for 20 minutes or until cooked. 


1. 橄榄油炒罗卜,西芹,洋葱,蒜头。然后加一杯鸡汤,煮十五分钟。加盐和胡椒调味。
2. 盛起备用
3. 用橄榄油把鸡块炒五分钟,加入刚才的材料,和其余的鸡汤。
4. 煮十分钟,放进苋菜,盖锅煮二十分钟,或至熟

Kampar market, fried Kueh Teow. Jason the host of Taste of Jason been here. No doubt, the Kueh Teow is nice.

金宝菜市炒河。阿贤来过。这里的炒河真的不错



still remember this? newspaper & banana leaf packaging, Kueh Teow with banana leaf flavour, tasty. Take away is more delicious. Nowadays, hardly find this.

还记得这吗?报纸香蕉叶,炒河沾了香蕉叶的香气,打包更好味。现在很少了。

shrimp paste fried egg | 虾酱炒蛋


ingredient
2 eggs, A [1 onion, 1 clove garlic (chopped), 2 teaspoon shrimp paste (Cincalok), parsley]

2 粒蛋,A [1颗洋葱,1瓣蒜头,2茶匙虾酱 (Cincalok),芫茜]


1. saute shrimp paste and garlic
2. add in onion, pan fried for 10 minutes. then take out and set aside
3. beat the egg and fried in a hot pan.
4. when cooked, add in ingredient A
5. fried for another 5-10 minutes. Serve hot.

1. 把虾酱,蒜头碎炒香
2. 加入洋葱, 炒香,大概十分钟。然后起锅备用。
3. 把蛋打发,倒入热锅炒
4. 蛋熟后,放进 A料
5. 炒五到十分钟,起锅。


P/S salt or light soya sauce is not using because shrimp paste is quite salty.
注:虾酱的盐份高,所以没加盐或酱清

Restaurant Tai Fang, Ipoh | 新大方茶餐室,怡保

today breakfast at restaurant Tai Fang. 7am now, nice time for breakfast. Today will have western breakfast, should say Malaysian western breakfast.

今朝七点在新大方茶餐室早餐,七点早餐感觉好好。来个西式早餐,马来西亚西式早餐。

Coffee is a must. Let's have White coffee to start the day. The coffee is too creamy and sweet to me.

咖啡一定要,来杯白咖啡。可对我而言,它太奶了。


American breakfast
bacon, ham, sausage, baked bean, sunshine egg, cucumber, butter toast

美式早餐
培根,火腿,香肠,黄豆,太阳蛋, 黄瓜,奶油烤面包


Egg & Ham sandwich (toasted)
火腿蛋三文治(烤)


The stall been open business for long time, I think 10 years more. It only cost RM8.00 for two orders. Just a ordinary dish, but it really tasty because the person who made it "got heart"

这档口,我想已经十年以上了。两碟才RM8.00。很简单的早餐,可是做的人很有心,好吃。

Tea time at Purple Cane, Ipoh | 紫藤喝茶,怡保

Chinese steam bun: sweet potato (up); grains (bottom)
Nice steam bun. tender ans soft, gluten effect always the best texture of the bun.

番薯馒头 (上);谷馒头(下)
口感不错的馒头,柔软也不失嚼劲。

Chicken with tea gravy
Sorry for I can't recall the exact name. It's a roast chicken with gravy which made of tea. Sweet and sour taste, tomato-liked flavour.

红烧茶鸡
忘了正确的名字。这是烤鸡配甜酸酱汁,酱汁有茶的成份,有点像番茄酱汁。

Pineapple chicken salad | 鸡肉凤梨沙拉



Ingredient |料

1/2 cans of pineapple  半罐罐头凤梨
1 whole chicken breast meat  一块鸡胸肉
2 stalks of celery  两瓣茜芹
1 teaspoon of lemon juice   一茶匙柠檬汁
1 teaspoon if sugar   一茶匙糖
ground black pepper  黑胡椒
salt  盐
2 tablespoon peanut  两汤匙花生
3 tablespoon mayonnaise   三汤匙美乃滋


  1. sprinkling some black pepper and salt on both side of chicken breast meat
  2. pan fried it and set aside allowed to cool, then cut in cube
  3. cut pineapple, celery in cube
  4. add lemon juice and sugar into the mayonnaise 
  5. then mix mayonnaise, pineapple, celery, peanut, chicken breast meat together
  6. ready to serve

  1. 鸡胸肉洒上些黑胡椒和盐,两面。
  2. 把肉煎熟,待冷,切成小方块,备用
  3. 把凤梨与茜芹切成小方块
  4. 柠檬汁和糖加进美乃滋
  5. 把柠檬汁和其它材料拌匀
  6. 可上桌了
