Coffee butter cake | 咖啡牛油蛋糕



same with vanilla pods butter cake, and add in coffee powder and almond flakes as topping

 和香草子蛋糕一样,只是加入了咖啡粉和铺上杏仁片

Try another recipe today, the outcome is satisfied and the method is easy. The cake is moist and buttery.
今日试新方式,即简单又好吃。蛋糕很松软,带香香的奶油味。


Ingredients | 料

150g flour | 面粉
160g butter | 牛油
120g sugar | 糖
3.5g baking powder | 发粉
1 tsp vanilla pods | 香草子
50ml milk | 鲜牛奶


  1. heat the milk (not boil), then add in vanilla pods, heat for another 1 or 2 minutes. then set aside for cooling

  2. mix all dry ingredients thoroughly

  3. mix wet ingredients with another bowl

  4. add butter and half of mixturee of wet ingredient to the dry ingredients

  5. beat until flour be fully moisten, beat for 1 to 2 minutes

  6. add in the remaining ingredients into 2 parts

  7. pour in a 8" x 4" loaf pan when done

  8. bake at 180 degree Celsius for 45- 50 minutes (use stick to poke in the middle, if the cake is cooked, the stick should be dry when taking out)

  1. 把鲜牛奶煮,温热就好(不要沸腾),然后放香草子,再煮1-2 分钟。放一旁,待冷备用
  2. 先混和干材料
  3. 另外,混和湿材料
  4. 将牛油和一半的湿材料倒入干材料里,然后搅打至粉粒均匀湿透, 再搅打1-2 分钟
  5. 之后,将剩余的湿材料分两次加如,搅打均匀
  6. 倒入8" x 4" 烤盘
  7. 180 摄氏,烤45- 50 分钟(用牙签或类似的查入中间,如熟了,牙签拿出时应该是干的)

I love Yoo | 老油鬼鬼

went at I Love YOO! at De Garden Ipoh for lunch. Self service here, get meal from the counter. The "YOO" in name means you tiao. They serve mostly on domestic snack food like fried bun, sesame ball, sweet potato ball, soya pudding. Only porridge for main course. Drinks served is soya bean, and coffee. More like a place for tea time.

老油鬼鬼座于 De Garden,自助式,柜台买吃的。这里有瑶柱粥,花生淡菜粥。大部分都是本地小食,油条少不了,当然有马脚,番薯蛋,芝麻饼,咸煎饼。饮料有咖啡和豆奶。这个地方适合下午茶。

Honey Dates Watercress Drink | 密枣西洋菜谅茶


ingredient: watercress, honey dates

Put 300g watercress and 6 honey dates into a pot, add 1.5L to 2L water then boiled for 3 hours. If sweetness not enough, can add more honey dates。

(watercress aid in reduce body heat)

料:西洋菜,密枣

将 300g 西洋菜和 6 密枣放进锅,加 1.5L - 2L 水,煲三个小时。如不够甜,可再加密枣。

(西洋菜有下火功用)

P/S main stem of the watercress was used to making this drink it is because main stem is hard and not suitable for eat. while the leaves I keep it for stir-fry. In this way, nothing go into trash.

老茎很硬,不会吃所以用来煲凉茶,嫩叶炒菜,这样就不会浪费了。

中秋节快乐 | Happy Mid Autumn

每年都看妈妈做月饼,今年动起手来,自己做 (爸爸妈妈指导)。
炒馅真的又累又热,可很好玩。

every year, i watch mother make moon cake but this year i do it myself ( help from parents).
making the lotus filling is tiring because need to stand in front of the stove for an hour to cook the lotus paste.
although it's tired, but i feel enjoyable and fun

Mushroom Omelet | 香菇煎蛋

ingredient : mushroom, cowpea, garlic, shallot 
料:香菇,豇豆,蒜头,小葱

saute garlic and shallot , then add in mushroom and cook. when mushroom is soften, put in cowpea, add some salt/ light soya sauce. when cooked, then keep aside.
slightly beat the egg prior pour on flat bottomed pan. 
when its partially cooked, put all ingredients on the egg, then fold it.


爆香蒜头,小葱,加入香菇。
香菇软了,放豇豆,然后加盐/酱清调味。熟了,起锅备用.
将蛋发,倒入平底锅,当半熟时,放进所有材料, 然后把蛋折。

found that the sushi rice here quite mild in taste, not my preference

炒章鱼,用美乃兹,洋葱,蒜,韭菜。对我来说,这过于咸了

Aburi Aonori Tamago Mentai RM3.80. The tamago not really nice, lack of taste.
海苔烧鱼子蛋卷寿司,蛋卷淡了些


Katsu Don RM13.80. The katsu don taste bland and so do the age dashi tofu.
日式鸡扒饭。味道淡,蛋不香。天妇罗汁炸豆腐都是一样,味道不够
